Artisans & Seaside villages – oh my! Our Mandamados & Skala Sikamea Day Trip

We will visit several of the last traditional pottery places in Mandamados to see how they are still making the same designs from generations past. You can also try some of the fresh ladotyri cheese and yogurt that is famous from Mandamados. A visit to the church of Taxiarches is a must while we are in Mandamados! We will stop in the the beautiful little village of Kapi for a coffee at the local kafeneio before we continue north.

In Lepetymnos we will visit the only farm in Greece where animals and you can freely walk amongst them. You can also learn of the aronia berry and it’s super antioxidants at the farm too! After a wonderful afternoon we end in Skala Sikamea, a beautiful little seaside fishing village for a delicious lunch in the small port.

A visit to the Monastery Ipsilou where the 360 degree views of the island and Turkey are truly spectacular. Then we will continue and see the lake views from Moni Pithariou close to Skala Eresou where we will end our time with a lovely sunset beverage of your choice!
