Hiking to Forbidden Island on Saipan | Little Things I Love About
I am not a sporty person. Nor do I profess to like sports. However one thing I do enjoy, oddly, is hiking. Something about the challenge…something about the scenery…something about being out in nature.
When I was in Saipan, shooting on location for Travelife Magazine, we had a great opportunity to shoot at Forbidden Island – absolutely breathtaking. Except that…we had to hike DOWN to the location and then back up.
The team of Jonathan and Keoni of Mariannas Trekking were our guides and got us down and back – without a hitch.
We left super early to get down there before the sun was too hot and so we had some decent light for shooting. That’s Forbidden Island behind me – where we were going!
We made it down and it was so gorgeous! We instantly knew the shoot was gonna be worth it!
After we got our shots for the magazine we packed ourselves and headed back up. And made it to tell the story!
If you are ever on Saipan, I highly recommend Mariannas Trekking. They were so fun and awesome at what they do!
On our Philippines GO LOCAL! RoadTrip we do a little hiking in the Cordilleras in the Banaue Rice Terraces. Absolutely STUNNING scenery! Check out the itinerary here.
