Doors of Umbria || Little Things I Love About

The Doors of Umbria.

I first laid my eyes on them back in 2010 and have since found more and photographed more of them to add to my collection.

They are layered with character and detail. It always makes me wonder who lives behind these doors. What these doors have seen and heard for soo many years.

It was in 2010 that my love affair with Doors of the World began and I have since photographed many doors along my travels.

These doors are from Terni and Stroncone in Umbria, Italy…medieval walled villages house them. The history that many of these doors have…I cannot even imagine. I tend to make up stories of what could possibly be as I pass them.
