Darechchaouen Maison d’Hotes – Chefchaouen || Morocco Destination Highlight
One of the hotels we stayed in while in Morocco was in Chefchaouen on the hillside looking towards the old medina.
Darechchaouen Maison d’Hotes is an absolutely splendid hotel that oozes with quaintness and character.
You can see as you walk into the Reception Lobby the awards and recognition it has gotten for being recommended by many travelers via Trip Advisor, Booking.com and many others.
The Moroccan vibes and colors, along with the signature “blue” that is Chefchaouen, instantly make you feel at home.
And the outdoor dining area is absolutely delightful!
The signature Moroccan style doorways always make my heart pitter patter. 🙂
My room was quaint and absolutely sufficient for myself. In fact it can sleep up to 3. The sitting area was a nice touch too. I love the low-lying Moroccan style couches.
Indoors they have a dining area and lounge area you can use at meals, or even if you want to lounge at anytime, you are free to make yourself at home.
Above the main Lobby Reception area is where the villas are…and the pool, with a gorgeous view of the old medina, as well as the Rif Mountains behind. It’s the best of both worlds!
This was definitely an outstanding way to start our Follow Your Heart to Morocco Travel Experience! I can’t wait to continue to take my guests back to this gem!
