I was super excited when my birthday not only came before I headed off with my group to Morocco, but that I was also upgraded to a new iPhone 6! YES! Mobile travel photography was going to be taken to a whole new level! 🙂 (All the photos in this post are with it!)
I landed in Casablanca to meet my group who was staying at Val D’Anfa Hotel, right along the waterfront. Nice.
That evening we wandered the boulevard in front of the water and found a little restaurant to eat dinner at and had a fabulous waiter to boot. 🙂
The next day we met up with the tour company I use to do my Morocco Travel Experiences – Morocco Expert Tours – and mapped out our journey together before heading out for a few stops through Casablanca.
Hassan II Mosque is built right on the coast – in fact some of it is built on the water. It boasts being the largest mosque in Morocco and Africa and 7th in the world. It’s MASSIVE. And gorgeous. The capacity of worshippers is 25,000 inside while outside 80,000+ more can worship. In the coming weeks, I’ll post a more extensive look at Hassan II Mosque using my “big camera” (DSLR) photos 😉
Before we headed north to the country’s capital of Rabat, we HAD to stop at the infamous RICK’S CAFE..that’s right, like the movie Casablanca. 🙂
Onwards to Rabat we go!
